Who this is

This site is operated by Steve Thielsen, Broker Associate, California DRE 01836182, affiliated with Century 21 Epic, 616 Petaluma Boulevard South, Petaluma, California 94952. You can reach him at 707-364-6983 or steve@steve-re.com. Each Century 21 office is independently owned and operated.

What this site collects

Only what you type into a form, plus the ordinary technical records any web server keeps.

From the seller form: the property address, your timing, the property type, anything you write in the notes field, your name, and the phone number or email address you give.

From the buyer form: the areas you are interested in, property type, timing, how you expect to finance a purchase, anything you write in the notes field, your name, and the phone number or email address you give.

From the contact form: your message, your name, and the phone number or email address you give.

From the listing search: this site does not receive your search terms. The /search page links to Steve’s Century 21 Epic website, where the search runs as a separate service. See “Third parties” below.

Automatically: the hosting provider records standard server information such as your IP address, browser type, the pages requested and the time of the request. This is used to keep the site running and secure.

This site does not ask for and does not want your Social Security number, date of birth, financial account numbers, or any government identification number. Please do not send them through these forms.

Why it is collected, and where it goes

With JavaScript enabled, these forms prepare a message addressed to Steve Thielsen in your own email app; you must send it there. If JavaScript is unavailable, the site temporarily processes the submitted fields to return an email-draft link and retain your entries on the response page. It does not store the message or send it to Steve. Steve receives your inquiry only when you send the email, so he can answer your question. Submitting a form does not create a client relationship or an agency relationship, and it does not obligate you to anything.

Your information is not sold, rented, or traded. It is not shared with advertising networks, data brokers, or lead-buying services.

Third parties this site relies on

The hosting provider sees technical information when you visit. The separate listing-search service receives information when you follow its link:

Cloudflare hosts this site and processes requests, including your IP address, in order to serve the pages and protect against abuse. Cloudflare also measures how quickly the pages load, through a small script it adds to each page (Cloudflare Web Analytics). Cloudflare states that this measurement uses no cookies or other stored identifiers and does not fingerprint visitors by IP address or browser; it is governed by Cloudflare’s own privacy policy.

Century 21 Epic’s home search opens on a separate website when you follow the link on /search. That service handles your searches and any information you choose to submit there. It may use cookies and analytics under its own privacy policy and cookie settings. Merely visiting this site’s /search page does not load the brokerage search.

The typefaces are served from this site itself; loading them sends nothing to Google. Information you email to Steve may be handled by the email provider he uses to receive and store his mail.

Cookies and tracking

This site sets no cookies and runs no advertising trackers. There is no cross-site tracking, no advertising profile, and no advertising pixel on this site’s pages. The only measurement is Cloudflare’s page-performance script described above. The brokerage search linked from /search is a separate service that may set cookies and run analytics of its own after you open it, as described above; this site cannot read them.

Do Not Track

Because this site does not track visitors across other websites, there is nothing for a Do Not Track signal to switch off. No response is made to those signals, and none is needed.

How long it is kept

Inquiries are kept in Steve’s email for as long as they are useful for the conversation you started and for any record-keeping California real estate law requires. If you ask him to delete an inquiry and no legal obligation requires keeping it, he will.

Your choices

You may ask what information about you is held, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted. Email steve@steve-re.com or call 707-364-6983 and say what you want done. Any request will be answered within a reasonable time and without charge.

If you gave a phone number and would rather not be called or texted, say so and it will be honoured. If you asked to hear from Steve and later change your mind, tell him and the contact will stop.

California residents may have additional rights over personal information under state law, including the right to know what is collected and to request deletion. The rights described above are extended to everyone who uses this site, regardless of where you live.

Children

This site is meant for adults making property decisions. It is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect information from them.

Fair housing

Information you provide is never used to treat you differently on the basis of race, colour, religion, sex, familial status, national origin, disability, or any other class protected by federal or California fair housing law. Steve Thielsen and Century 21 Epic support the Fair Housing Act and equal opportunity in housing.

Security

This site is served over an encrypted connection. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, so please do not send sensitive personal or financial details through a web form.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes in a way that affects how your information is handled, the effective date above will be updated and the revised policy posted here before the change takes effect.
